At Wild Prairie Organics, we strive to ensure you are happy with every purchase. However, we understand that there may be occasions where you need to return a product. Please review our return policy below:

Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges

To be eligible for a return, product must be unopened and unused; being in the same condition that you received it in.

Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the purchase date.

We strive to deliver the best services and products, but if an item(s) arrives damaged or defective, we will replace the item(s) at no charge to you. Please contact us immediately for a return/exchange. Once your return is accepted, we will arrange for return shipping, and upon receipt, we will have the replacement item(s) sent out to you at no additional cost.

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on opened or used products for hygiene reasons, unless they are damaged or defective upon receipt.

Process for Returns

To initiate a return for orders placed within 30 days, please contact us through our contact page and include your order number and a brief description of the issue. Once your refund is approved, please ship the item back in its original packaging. You will be responsible for return shipping. Once the product is received, we will apply a store credit to your account.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item(s). We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a store credit will be automatically applied to your account.

For returns over $100, we recommend applying insurance to your item(s) as we can not be held responsible for any lost parcels in shipment.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item(s) please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. We will gladly replace the item or issue a store credit.

Please see our “Heat Exposure” advisory as these items would not be eligible for return. 

Shipping

Upon shipment of your order, we will promptly email you a tracking number to help you monitor its progress. Please note that shipment times quoted in our policy are provided by the United States Postal Service, and while we strive to ensure timely delivery, we are not liable for any delays that may occur during the shipping process. 

For orders totaling less than $16, we offer a flat rate shipping fee of $5.99. Orders ranging from $16 - $70 insure a flat rate shipping fee of $11.99. If your purchase exceeds $70 (after any promotional or coupon discounts are applied), you'll enjoy complimentary free standard shipping.

We utilize reliable shipping services such as USPS First Class, USPS Priority, and UPS Ground. We will select the most suitable option based on the size and weight of your order.

We ship every order promptly within 1-5 business days of purchase. Once your order is on its way, you can anticipate receiving an email containing detailed tracking information to monitor its progress.

If you have provided us with an incorrect or undeliverable address, resulting in the return of the item to us, please note that we are not responsible for the cost of reshipping the item to your corrected address. Upon notification of the issue, we require 1-5 business days for processing time. In order to facilitate the reshipment, you will be required to cover the cost of generating a new shipping label. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning an item(s), unless the return is due to an error on our part or the product is defective.

Shipping in Warmer Months

As noted on our heat exposure advisory, whipped tallow maintains a naturally airy consistency at room temperature, but may liquefy in temperatures exceeding 84 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Celsius), leading to changes in texture and consistency. This is attributed to the inherent qualities of tallow and our commitment to avoiding preservatives and stabilizers in our products, ensuring they remain free from toxins and harsh chemicals. Please be aware that during warmer months, shipping of whipped tallow products may lead to flattening and changes in texture, potentially resulting in thickening. This can occur if an item is exposed to high temperatures while in transit, such as in a hot shipping truck, in a mailbox, or sitting on a doorstep after delivery. However, thanks to the inherent stability of tallow, it does not spoil easily and is resistant to oxidation, ensuring that the product remains safe and effective to use. Please note that we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for these items.

If melting and/or flattening of whipped tallow occurs, we recommend gently heating the tallow over low heat in a double boiler until completely melted. Afterward, place the tallow in a refrigerator. Once the tallow mixture has cooled and has reached a semi-firm consistency, remove it and place it in a stand mixer or use a hand mixer to rewhip the product, effectively incorporating air back into the tallow balm.

Coupon Code / Discount Code Policy

Each coupon code is intended for single use per customer. Wild Prairie Organics reserves the right to manage the expiration of coupons as needed and to decline the use of any coupon at our discretion.

As a general guideline, coupon codes received via mail or e-mail are valid until the end of the current year.

Online Payments

At this time we only accept online forms of payment. We do not accept payments over e-mail, mail, or phone.

Skin Reactions

Given the sensitivity of some skin types, it's possible that our products may cause a skin reaction. This could be attributed to the essential oils, added organic and unrefined ingredients, or the tallow itself. If you experience any adverse reactions, we advise discontinuing use immediately and contacting a healthcare professional if necessary. We encourage you to reach out to us and share details of any issues you encounter so that we can update our recommendations and better serve our customers. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our products and ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Batch Differences

Due to seasonal and batch variations, the consistency of our tallow balms may differ slightly. Some batches may yield a firmer texture while others may be softer. Please understand that each batch is unique, reflecting what nature gives us. We strive for the absolute best in handcrafting our products, ensuring consistency across batches.

While the natural ingredients in our handcrafted products are believed to possess healing properties, it is crucial to note that they are not intended for self-medication or as treatments for physical or mental illnesses.
